After this round of peer review, I will go back to my paper and take a look at the flow of my paper and make sure it makes sense to the reader. I have a lot of areas that are considered gray areas that need more explanation. I could go into more detail for the topics I addressed rather than addressing lots of topics shallowly. To achieve this goal I will reread my essay with the notes my peers made and prioritize what I want to be said and what I can leave out of my essay. I see my biggest challenge in doing this is knowing what to let go and what to keep especially since I have such heavy emotional ties into this essay. A lot of it is hard to just chop out because it is all special to me. If this challenge comes us while doing my revisions, I can always ask an outsider to read my essay and help me decide if something needs to be deleted or left out. The notes my peers made always help too because they don’t have personal ties to the things I wrote so they truly can say cut that out and it will still get the point across.

I think it’s wise for you to acknowledge that our emotional ties with a topic can make it harder for us to see what logically fits into an argument. You got this, Paige! Just remember, you can always save something for use later.
